    Scissor Sisters

Last night was amazing! Well apart form the crappy support act, who were midly entertaining for the first couple of songs and then started to irritate me and probably everyone else. But back to the concert.

It all started with golden curtains and two pieces of wood that, when put together crated an lift just like on the cover of their latest album. Very impressive, when the doors came apart and the band members jumped out and got striaght into the first song. Oh and also one of my favourite tracks off the album (Intermission) was played as the doors did their thing. Well it was just an instrumental bit, but good none the less.

The band members all looked amazing. Paddyboom on the drums in a red clothes with sparkles, Babydaddy in....well couldnt really see that closely, but he still looked good. Del Marquis in a tight white suit thing. Ana Matronic in a really cool blue and gold sparkley dress. And Jake Shears in a blue suit with a pattern and an orange shirt underneath, which happened to come off during the show.

Songs included: She's my man, I can't decide, Tits on the radio, Laura (which they "lovingly" dedicated to Laura Bush), Skins (never heard it before last night), Transistor, Kiss you off, Take your mama, Land of a thousand words, Paul McCartney, Lights, Comfortably numb, Music is the victim, and I dont feel like dancing and Filthy/Gorgeous as the encores.

Throught the performance the dancing was amazing particularly from Jake Shears and Ana Matronic. There was also lots of swearing, and a bit of nudity. But all done in goos scissor sisters taste. Oh and Jake and Ana changed clothes for the encore. Ana had another nice dress on, all gold and sparkly. And Jake came out with sparkly short shorts and top on, which came off by the end.

    Little Britain Live

Two days ago on Tuesday my sisters and I saw Little Britain Live at Vodafone Arena. The arena is ok...but I didnt like the fact we were sitting on the side and had to turn around to see the show and that you had to guess which seat was your's because the seats wer'nt numbered. That aside the show was great. It started with Andy and Lou, Where Lou is wheeling around Andy's wheelchair and is looking for Andy, whilst Andy flies into the show. There are also performances from The two ladies (Emily Howard) with a plumber. Vicky Pollard makes an appearance with her six babies from seven different fathers and does her usual "year but, no but" bit. There was also Dennis Waterman, the little dude who likes to "Write the feem tune and sing the feem tune". And just before interval we had the vomiting ladies, quite impressive too.

In the second half we saw Dudley and Ting Tong, where we got to hear Ting Tong's great singing voice. The rendition was...something and ended with "lets do the time warp again". Anne also did a song. One by Whitney Houston, but im not sure which one. Mr Mann went into a paintshop trying to buy paint with no colour, then white with a hint of black, then grey with a bluey redishness to it, and then grey thats pink. The show Ended with the only gay in the villiage, Daffyd. Who did a great song and dance about being gay and such.

I probably got all of those sketches in the wrong order, but meh. The whole show had lots of vomiting and nudity jokes...just like....well little britain. Other characters: Bubbles Devere did a stip tease. Kenny craig conviced his fiance to get an engagement ring for under 20 pounds. Majorie Dawes got a man on stage and let a "freudian cake" slip. Ray McCooney told us of the myth of the fizzy drink and Sebastian did full frontal nudity without the rude bit....

All in all twas an excellent show!

    Long time no blog

Sheeesh! this pretty much the first time i have looked at my space since....well november really. I dunno, i guess i just havnt been all that bothered with my blogging of late and i have been a bit busy and just getting into the swing of the new year and then stuff before that at the end of last year. that probably didnt make sense and i dont give a rats.

Stuff thats happened since last blog:
    - november last year did exams, graduated and had year 12 formal. I know that was in last blog, but i looked back at the photo's and i looked damn good! (bow chicka boys)
    - got enter score results on december the something, wernt what i wanted exactly but still im happy.
    - christmas. Spent time with the family in geelong and had a good time.
    - new years. went to a friends house and saw people hadnt seen since the formal
    - 3rd - 11th of jan, in perth for NCYC (national christian youth convention). Was awesome and met some majorly cool people
    - 12 of jan did my first afternoon shift at open house for the year
    - went shopping a fair few times in between all these events in preparation for it or just for the hell of it.
    - now? doing jack all and waiting for first round offers

So right now i dont how i feel about this blog. Its not like im attatched to this blog in an emotional way or anything, far from it. I just dont know whether i can be bothered or if there is any point in continuing this blog space. Tell me what ya think.

So its been a while. Soooo many things have been happening and i havnt had much time to blog. Or at least when i have had the time i couldnt be arsed. As you would have gathered from my last entry i have indeed finished school. For about a week and a half now. So what have i done you ask? Well it goes a little something like this:
    - Wednesday the ??? i cant remeber, well the day of my last exam. Me and my family went and saw the Lano and Woodley Goodbye tour. So funny. Actually it would have been the 8th
    - Thurs the 9th went for a swim, the first one i could since i hurt my knee, and did other random errands.
    - Fri the 10th went shopping with mum for formal stuff, went to open house
    - Sat the 11th Went to Rachels for a party
    - Sun the 12th went to geelong to visit family
    - Mon the 13th went shopping at northlands
    - tues the 14th went shopping in the city with friends
    - Wed the 15th Went to coffee club at open house
    - thurs the 16th graduation rehearsal in the morning and graduated that evening
    - fri the 17th my year 12 formal. soo much fun and i looked good (well at least i think so) and so did all my friends.

    - sun the 19th did nothing
    - Mon/today the 20th cleaned the bathroom, made my bed and nothing much else.

    The end is nigh

So basically i feel unmotivated to study at the moment. On monday i had my Biology exam. It wasnt as bad as mid year, but it was still pretty tough. I didnt feel sickbefore the exam either which was a plus. But i did have a few nightmares and heart palpitations/flutters leading up to it. And i did infact have a heart flutter during ht exam which made me cough and freaked the hell out of me. And then i got freaked out again as the dude watching us told us to put our pens down just as i was writing my final word.

Yesterday i had my psychology exam. It was'nt too hard and i don't think i did too bad. overall the last couple of days have been ok. Today on the other hand? Shit. eah that pretty much sums it up. I had english language today. And needless to say i would like to kill whom ever wrote that stupid exam. So i think i failed. Meh...it just english. Oh im screwed.

So today i had my fourth exam. It was HHD (health and human development). It was'nt particularly hard, and it was extremely boring and lasted 2 hours. It went from 3-5:15pm. Bah! So late in the afternoon. Tomorrow is cup day and i shall be spending said public holiday studying for my last exam which is on the following day. My last exam is legal studies and will follow the same time slot as my HHD exam. Oh Goody...not!

So yesterday was my last exam. It wasnt too tough. not much to say really. but i am finished high school forever!!!

Im not signing off yet, as i will inevitably keep writing stuff as it happens after each exam. Catch ya later.

And now i will sign off.

    Its all over....nearly!

Yesterday was the last ever day I will attend Kew High (apart from the 5 exams I have of course). Cheers to that I say! On monday it was dress up day and I went as a pirate. I looked damn fine and so did my friends. It was great walking around the school in whatever we wanted and no one could stop us, and unlike other free dress days we didnt have to pay a cent. On tuesday we had the breakfast and signing day which was uber cool. I ended up with a zigzag hem for my dress and a whol cut out on my belly and a whole lot of ink on my dress and my hands, arms and legs thanks to Chris ad Glenn. Bah! And Yesterday was the concert day and lunch. The concert was ok and the lunch was great. So now im sitting here still just kinda hanging and not really knowing what to do with myself yet. As much as im glad school is over its werid not to be in the routine.

I Fell Off My Bike Today

Yep. That pretty much says it all. Today i got home and felt like going for a bike ride, in an effort to get fitter and healthier. So Laura, Gemma and I rode down to Darebin Park to feed the ducks and go for a ride. We fed some ducks and then moved on to get to some more. So as we were coming to the end of a long, and steep hill and into another on our left hand side, which was covered in gravely pebbly stuff i veered off to the right hand side and skidded off my bike. So now i have a massive chunk out of my left knee, a scratch on my right leg, a little cut on both hands and some scratches on my right elbow. All in all, im in the wars this week. Bah!

    Ben Folds And The MSO

On Friday the 22nd of September My Sister, Liz, Claire, Sara and I headed out to see Ben Folds. We were all very excited as we knew it would be a great show without even having seen it yet. Before we saw the show we all met up with Laura for dinner at a place called Blue Train Cafe. Very yummy food. Mine was supposedly a snack, but was twice as big as everybody elses. Then we went and had Gelato at Trampoline (not the thing you jump on) which was excellent. I had Bloody orange. So tasty and just like orange sherbert. Mmmmm SHerbert.

So just as the show was getting nearer and nearer as te minutes ticked by slowly, each member of the orchestra found their seat on stage one by one. The audience was starting to get a little fidgety. But as soon as we saw him casually walk to the piano everything went quiet in anticipation.  The orchestra was superb and Ben Folds was even better. The song arrangements were so well done and everyone knew what was coming when he started to play Not The Same and Army.

He is what he played in no particular order (apart from the first and last, being correct):
    1. Zak and Sara
    2. All you can eat
    3. Philosophy
    4. The Last Polka
    5. One Angry Dwarf and 200 solemn faces
    6. Smoke
    7. Brick
    8. Narcolepsy
    9. Lullabye
    10. Army
    11. Not the same
    12. Jesusland
    13. Landed
    14. Gracie
    15. Fred Jones Pt.2
    16. Rockin' the suburbs
    17. Stephens last night in town
    18. The Luckiest

For the last few days I have been busy entertaining a couple of me Adelaide boys :)
Saturday: Picked the boys up from the station and generally hang out playing extreme uno and got ready for my party. Which was good, thanks everyone for coming and for your great presents.
Sunday: All woke up late, watched a bit of Salaam Namaste, then went into the city where we looked at the 50 years of tv thingy and went to South Bank where i got a blood orange slushy, Mmmmm blood. We then went to the rialto tower and headed home for a little bit before heading back out. We went to this music festival, which was great, apart from some funky crowds and lots of smoke.
Monday: Pez, Steve, Laura, I and Emily all went to the Zoo. ( I know that sentence dont work, meh.) Saw a heap of cool, smelly and cute animals, Australian and otherwise. (huh? meh) PLayed Balderdash and then watched some Kung Pow Enter the Fist
Tuesday: Finished Kung Pow and then went to Darebin (da-rebin, not dare-bin. Bah!) Walked the boys to the station and now they're home.

    18

So I figured that I would have to write something about my actual birthday eventually considering I blogged something exciting on friday. So today is the day after. I really dont feel much older, apart from having worse back pains than ever. But thats a given considering im Babcia which is Grandma in Polish. Back pains aside I just feel, me and tired.

Yesterday I: Got up at around 8 am becasue i could'nt sleep any longer. Now my family will tell you that i was just excited, i happen to disagree with that. I think i simply woke up with a headache because sometimes I do and does'nt everybody from time to time? I had my alarm set for 8 am anyway because my bed frame was getting delivered between 9am-1pm, so i wanted to eat breakfast and have a shower etc. before all of that. But i was annoyed becasue i pressed snooze and could'nt due to the headache. So that wasnt a very pleasant start to the day. I sat around for quite a long time just doing nothing all morning, watching tv and the like. Laura, Dad and I were the first people up, so i got my present form Laura pretty early in the day. I got Howl's Moving Castle which is uber cool. Then a bit later Mum got up and gave me basically the insides of my bed linen, oh yeah i got a bed. Should have mentioned that earlier. Actually doesnt really matter, ive probably told you all about a million times i wanted a new bed anyway. But yeah Mum gave me my new doona and pillow covers. They are so nice. Oriental is the name of the design. They're coloured pink (a nice shade), purple, green, blue, black and some deep purplish-brownish-pinkish-burgundy kinda colour and are like patch work and have cool different asian designs on each colour. Bec (Rebecca, obviously) gave me a really nice pair of earings which are dangly with white shiny beads and Austria crystal. Then Mum and Dad went and picked up my new mattress, and my frame arrived just after they did. After lunch i spent a few hours laying out all the pieces, making sure i had everything and working out how to assemle it. I did manage to get the basically all of the bed made myself in three pieces (head, middle and foot of bed) before dad got home, then he helped me finish it off and make sure all the screws were tight enough and stuff like that. Then me and Mum finished making the bed. It looks and is really nice to sleep on. In the evening we went to TGI Fridays (Thank God Its Friday) for dinner. Good Times *does thumbs up* (thats for you Pez, Steve and Nick). That is pretty much what i did all day.

I would like to now thank Pez, Bren, Liz, Vicky, Anita, Nana and Pa, Granny and Grandad and everyone else (you know who you are) for all the Happy Birthday well wishes throughout the week, the day before, on the day and the day after (today) my birthday. It meant a lot and put a smile on my dial.....*shakes head*

The Pick Me Up Season Has Begun

Today has been by far the best day since well forever really. Admitedly i did have school and i had legal with a certain bastard of a teacher. But not even that would ruin my day. Because today we had lovely weather. Thats about it really. That was the reason i was practically dancing down the streets and why i was constantly smiling. Which kinda annoyed my friends, but i didnt really care. I was happy and content for with the world for once. See usually everyday its some terrible freezing temperature. But not today! Because today is the first of september and the start of spring. The month you can start to smell in the air increasingly as each last day of winter passes by.  Its the month into which you can get rid of all those depressed feelings from winter, becasue you stayed indoors so much. Its a time when you can think about exercising and be creative. And most importantly its the month in which i turn another year older. In fact im turning 18 next week. Spring to me is just one of the greatest seasons of the month. And im not just saying that becasue i happen to have my birthday in one of the months of this season. But it really is a nice season, it just kinda has a good feeling to it. A feeling of everything will be ok, everything will work itself out. And at this time of the year, that kind of feeling is needed. Because at this time of the year, at least for me, i start to feel like i cant be stuffed doing anything and i just want the year to be over, but then just when you need it you get the greatest pick me up of your life and you feel like doing things again and you get inspired to do thing and have an over all feeling of whelbeing. I just feel great.

*Side-note: i really have no clue if any of that made sense. I just felt i had to write something becasue i feel so good and havnt written for quite a while. But also my friends might lik an explanation of my happiness today. I dont know if it did that either. My punctuation probably isnt too good either.

    40 Days to my birthday!

Thats all i wanted to say really. I just a *little* excited...

    Til Next Time...

    July 26

I feel like crap...to say the least.

From the title you can probably guess that right now im not in the best of spirits. My back pain is back, i have a cold and just feel crap in general. School is only just bearable at the moment, mostly due to the feeling crap thing, but also because a certain teacher starting with the letter R keeps making us summerise whole chapters of our text books. So in essence we have to copy our text books into our exercise books. Now thats what i call learning ! NOT! Bah! I can't wait til this year is over. Although i don't really want things to speed up, because that means i get the mid year exam results sooner and then the next lot of exams closer as well. But i also want things to speed up so i can have my birthday, go to Ben Folds, have my party and Graduate and the formal, and NCYC and a possible visit to Adelaide to chill out for a while.

    Bad things in detail:
I don't want to get the results back for the biology exam, bloody Marjory. I am not exactly worried about the psychology though. But it did seem a tad too easy, so maybe i should be worried. After this term we have basically finished school for the year, which means we have to spend out holiday studying for the exams. They are way too close now. And then i have to enter my "wishlist" of courses i would like to do next year. I know what i want to do, im just worried i wont get into it.

    Good things:
I am turning 18 in like six weeks and a day or so...not that im counting or anything. That will be cool and means presents, even better. In the first weekend of the holidays i get to see Ben Folds play live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, which will be uber cool. Just cant wait. Then most likely the next night i will be having my 18th party. Which will be very cool becasue i get to see my friends and catch up with my other freinds from Adelaide, and more presents YAY! Then i get to graduate a little while later. The night after graduation is the formal. Very exciting because i enjoyed the one last year and looked nice and will this year as well. Always nice to have an excuse to dress up. In January i get to go to Perth for NCYC (national chrisitan youth convention, in case you wanted to know), which ill be good becasue i get to see my friends form Adelaide again, as well as catching a plane for the very first time. Lastly i might be chillin with the boys in Adelaide next year after NCYC sometime.

    Til Next Time,
