Scissor Sisters

Last night was amazing! Well apart form the crappy support act, who were midly entertaining for the first couple of songs and then started to irritate me and probably everyone else. But back to the concert.

It all started with golden curtains and two pieces of wood that, when put together crated an lift just like on the cover of their latest album. Very impressive, when the doors came apart and the band members jumped out and got striaght into the first song. Oh and also one of my favourite tracks off the album (Intermission) was played as the doors did their thing. Well it was just an instrumental bit, but good none the less.

The band members all looked amazing. Paddyboom on the drums in a red clothes with sparkles, Babydaddy in....well couldnt really see that closely, but he still looked good. Del Marquis in a tight white suit thing. Ana Matronic in a really cool blue and gold sparkley dress. And Jake Shears in a blue suit with a pattern and an orange shirt underneath, which happened to come off during the show.

Songs included: She's my man, I can't decide, Tits on the radio, Laura (which they "lovingly" dedicated to Laura Bush), Skins (never heard it before last night), Transistor, Kiss you off, Take your mama, Land of a thousand words, Paul McCartney, Lights, Comfortably numb, Music is the victim, and I dont feel like dancing and Filthy/Gorgeous as the encores.

Throught the performance the dancing was amazing particularly from Jake Shears and Ana Matronic. There was also lots of swearing, and a bit of nudity. But all done in goos scissor sisters taste. Oh and Jake and Ana changed clothes for the encore. Ana had another nice dress on, all gold and sparkly. And Jake came out with sparkly short shorts and top on, which came off by the end.

Little Britain Live

Two days ago on Tuesday my sisters and I saw Little Britain Live at Vodafone Arena. The arena is ok...but I didnt like the fact we were sitting on the side and had to turn around to see the show and that you had to guess which seat was your's because the seats wer'nt numbered. That aside the show was great. It started with Andy and Lou, Where Lou is wheeling around Andy's wheelchair and is looking for Andy, whilst Andy flies into the show. There are also performances from The two ladies (Emily Howard) with a plumber. Vicky Pollard makes an appearance with her six babies from seven different fathers and does her usual "year but, no but" bit. There was also Dennis Waterman, the little dude who likes to "Write the feem tune and sing the feem tune". And just before interval we had the vomiting ladies, quite impressive too.

In the second half we saw Dudley and Ting Tong, where we got to hear Ting Tong's great singing voice. The rendition was...something and ended with "lets do the time warp again". Anne also did a song. One by Whitney Houston, but im not sure which one. Mr Mann went into a paintshop trying to buy paint with no colour, then white with a hint of black, then grey with a bluey redishness to it, and then grey thats pink. The show Ended with the only gay in the villiage, Daffyd. Who did a great song and dance about being gay and such.

I probably got all of those sketches in the wrong order, but meh. The whole show had lots of vomiting and nudity jokes...just like....well little britain. Other characters: Bubbles Devere did a stip tease. Kenny craig conviced his fiance to get an engagement ring for under 20 pounds. Majorie Dawes got a man on stage and let a "freudian cake" slip. Ray McCooney told us of the myth of the fizzy drink and Sebastian did full frontal nudity without the rude bit....

All in all twas an excellent show!
